Vince McMahon hat am Montag auf einen Schlag mehr als 400 Millionen US-Dollar eingesteckt … durch den Verkauf einiger seiner TKO-Aktien, nachdem er das Unternehmen aufgrund von Vorwürfen wegen sexueller Übergriffe verlassen hatte, wie aus einer kürzlich bei der SEC eingereichten Meldung hervorgeht.
McMahon veräußerte 5.350.000 Aktien oder etwa 25 % seiner Aktien, während er seinen restlichen Anteil an WWE und der Muttergesellschaft der UFC, etwa 15 Millionen Aktien, behielt.
In der SEC-Einreichung wird der Wert der Aktien auf 411,95 Millionen US-Dollar beziffert … obwohl sie einen Wert von eher 436 Millionen US-Dollar haben könnten, da der gestrige TKO-Aktienkurs bei 81,67 US-Dollar (mal 5,35 Millionen Aktien) schloss.
Die Nachricht kommt etwas mehr als einen Monat später Der ehemalige Big Boss ist zurückgetreten von seiner Rolle als Vorstandsvorsitzender von TKO entlassen, nachdem ein ehemaliger Mitarbeiter eine Beschwerde eingereicht hatte, die ihm abscheuliche sexuelle Handlungen und Fehlverhalten vorwarf.
McMahon beteuerte seine Unschuld, hielt es jedoch für notwendig, „aus Respekt vor dem WWE-Universum“ zurückzutreten.
Dies ist McMahons zweiter großer Aktienverkauf: Im November verkaufte er 8.400.000 Aktien … für etwa 700 Millionen US-Dollar.
McMahon – der nach den Vorwürfen aus der Öffentlichkeit verschwand – hat geschworen, zu kämpfen Janel Grantund seinen Namen reinwaschen… damit vielleicht ein Teil seines hohen Gehalts für die Anwaltskosten verwendet wird.
