Das Team hinter Willy Wonkas gescheitertem Virenexperiment hat viel Arbeit vor sich Billy McFarland – ein Mann, der diese Situation sehr gut kennt – möchte ihnen eine Chance geben, es richtig zu machen.
Wir sprachen mit dem Gründer des Fyre Festivals in New York und mussten ihn nach der Wonka-Katastrophe in Großbritannien befragen, die weltweite Aufmerksamkeit erregte … und die Menschen sofort an das Scheitern des Festivals von Billy erinnerte.

Und Billy stimmt zu … und sagt im Vorhinein, dass die Organisatoren seiner Meinung nach bei den Kindern für die Ein-Stern-Werkstour so schnell wie möglich Wiedergutmachung leisten müssen, und WENN das passiert … bietet er Team Wonka einen Platz beim Fyre Festival II an.
Denken Sie daran, dass Billy 2017 auf den Bahamas ein ähnliches, sagenumwobenes schlechtes Erlebnis in Form eines Musikfestivals für gut bezahlte Fans hatte. Die Situation war schrecklich und Billy bekannte sich später schuldig, Investoren betrogen zu haben. Er verbüßte etwa vier Jahre im Gefängnis.
McFarland sagt, er möchte Wonkas Leuten die Chance geben, in Fyre 2 alles richtig zu machen … allerdings mit ein paar Leitplanken, um alles auf Kurs zu halten.

Billy hat sich eindeutig auf das zweite Fyre-Festival konzentriert … und sagt, es sei für nächstes Jahr geplant, aber seine Partner werden den Termin bekannt geben, wenn sie bereit sind. Im Moment übernimmt er eher eine Marketingrolle und versucht, es nicht zu übertreiben.
Und es sieht so aus, als ob die Fyre-Tickets schnell ausverkauft sind … Billy teilte der Welt am Donnerstag mit, dass für den Fyre II-Vorverkauf seit etwa 20 Jahren Anmeldungen eingehen 110 Millionen Dollar an Tickets.
