Al Pacino hatte einen sehr unangenehmen Moment bei den Oscars – und es geschah im wichtigsten Moment des Abends … etwas, von dem er jetzt sagt, dass es nicht wirklich seine Schuld war.
Der legendäre Schauspieler sagte gegenüber TMZ: „Es scheint einige Kontroversen darüber zu geben, dass ich gestern Abend nicht jeden Film namentlich erwähnt habe, bevor ich den Preis für den besten Film bekannt gegeben habe. Ich möchte nur klarstellen, dass es nicht meine Absicht war.“ Lassen Sie sie weg, es ist eher eine Entscheidung der Produzenten, sie nicht wiederholen zu lassen, da sie während der Zeremonie einzeln hervorgehoben wurden.

Er fügte hinzu: „Es war mir eine Ehre, an dem Abend teilnehmen zu dürfen, und ich habe mich dafür entschieden, der Art und Weise zu folgen, in der diese Auszeichnung verliehen werden sollte.“
Abschließend sagt Al, dass ihm alle Nominierten leid tun, die vor der Bekanntgabe des Gewinners nicht genannt wurden, und sagt: „Mir ist klar, dass die Nominierung ein großer Meilenstein im Leben ist und dass es beleidigend und verletzend ist, nicht vollständig anerkannt zu werden“, sage ich Als jemand, der enge Beziehungen zu Filmemachern, Schauspielern und Produzenten pflegt, habe ich tiefes Mitgefühl mit denen, die durch dieses Versehen geschädigt wurden, und deshalb hielt ich es für notwendig, diese Erklärung abzugeben.“
Falls Sie es noch nicht gesehen haben … Al kämpfte sich bis zum Gewinner des besten Films vor, der letztendlich „Oppenheimer“ hieß. Die Art und Weise, wie er es verkündete, war jedoch sehr enttäuschend.
Man merkte, dass alle überrascht waren, wie Al so viel verraten hatte – selbst die „Oppenheimer“-Crew selbst war sich nicht sicher, ob er sie tatsächlich zu den Gewinnern ernannt hatte.
Natürlich hatte er … in fast jeder Hauptkategorie praktisch eine Nullrunde geschafft. Und wenn irgendjemand das Gefühl hatte, dass er zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht richtig anerkannt wurde, sagte Al: Sprechen Sie mit den großen Namen bei den Oscars, denn ich habe nur meinen Job gemacht!!!
