Es war eine wichtige Woche für diejenigen, die sich darauf freuten Käfersaft Fortsetzung, die am 6. September in die Kinos kommt.
Einer von ihnen gab uns unseren allerersten Blick auf Michael Keaton im Kostüm als Beteigeuze.
Jenna spielt Astrid, Lydias Tochter, während nur wenige Informationen über Justins Charakter bekannt gegeben wurden.
Nur einen Tag später veröffentlichte Warner Bros. Pictures hat einen Trailer veröffentlicht! Bemerkenswert ist, dass der Trailer ein bedrohliches Cover von Harry Belafontes „Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)“ enthält, was natürlich eine Anspielung auf die Einbindung des Liedes in eine ikonische Szene aus dem ersten Film ist.
Der Trailer verdeutlicht diese frühen Fotos und zeigt eine Beerdigung am Grab, bei der ein Kinderchor „Day-O“ singt.
Bei der Beerdigung ist neben Justin Theroux‘ Charakter Winona Ryder als Lydia dabei …
und Catherine O’Hara als Delia.
Tim Burton, der bei beiden Regie führte Käfersaft Filme, sagte Entertainment Weekly in einem am Mittwoch veröffentlichten Artikel, dass die Fortsetzung alle drei Generationen von Deetz-Frauen ins Rampenlicht rücken würde. „Ich habe mich so sehr mit der Figur der Lydia identifiziert, aber dann kommt man all die Jahre später dazu und begibt sich immer wieder auf seine eigene Reise vom coolen Teenager zum lahmen Erwachsenen“, sagte er der Veröffentlichung. „Das hat es emotional gemacht und ihm eine Grundlage gegeben. Das hat mich wirklich dazu bewogen, mich darauf einzulassen.“
Der Trailer zeigt Astrid auch auf einem Dachboden, wie sie eine Plane entfernt, die ein Modell der Stadt Winter River bedeckt.
Offenbar stürmt Lydia später auf den Dachboden und stellt fest, dass das Model wie im Originalfilm ein Portal ins Jenseits geöffnet zu haben scheint.
Dann sehen wir, wie Michael Keaton als Beteigeuze zurückkehrt, nachdem er aus dem Jenseits auferstanden ist. „Der Saft ist locker“, sagt er zu Lydia am Ende des Trailers.
Und sie ist sicherlich schockiert.
