In Indien ging eine Gruppe von Menschen zum Abendessen und landete im Krankenhaus – mit Blutungen aus dem Mund und Erbrechen, nachdem ihnen Trockeneis verabreicht worden war … und man sagte, es sei ein Munderfrischer.
Diese wilde Szene wurde am Wochenende in der Stadt Gurugram auf Video festgehalten und zeigt fünf Gäste im Café Laforestta – wo sie gleichzeitig gemeinsam Blut erbrachen und spuckten … mitten in der Szene. Restaurant, nichts weniger.
Lokalen Berichten zufolge kam ein Kellner mit etwas, das die Gäste für einen Zucker- und Eis-Gaumenreiniger hielten … aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es sich tatsächlich um Trockeneis handelte, das sofort zu Verbrennungen führte.
Die Wirkung schien sofort spürbar zu sein … nachdem sie das Trockeneis in den Mund genommen hatten, begannen sie Berichten zufolge zu bluten und sich unter entsetzlichen Schmerzen zu übergeben, spülten ihren Mund mit Wasser aus und spuckten auf den Boden. Ein Typ warf sein gesamtes Abendessen auf den Boden.
Der Kameramann, der das alles gefilmt hat, hat das Trockeneis am Ende nicht selbst genommen: Er wurde verschont, aber nur, weil er eines ihrer Kinder trug … also hatte er Glück. Leider akzeptierten ihn die übrigen Erwachsenen in seiner Gruppe … und sie litten sehr darunter.
Die Gruppe wurde schließlich ins Krankenhaus gebracht, wo sie sich zwei Tage lang erholte. Für das Restaurant war es ein kostspieliger Fehler: Der Manager wurde festgenommen und die Polizei sucht immer noch nach dem Besitzer, der vermutlich auf der Flucht ist. Nach Angaben der Polizei handelte es sich um eine echte Vergiftung.
Die Einnahme von Trockeneis kann tödlich sein… aber glücklicherweise ist der Zustand dieser Menschen stabil. Es ist unklar, was zu der Verwechslung geführt hat, aber der Manager sagte angeblich, die Mitarbeiter hätten versehentlich Eis in die Mischung gegeben und es sei ein Unfall gewesen.
